My Honest Optoma H190X Projector Review
I spent a few days studying projectors since I was new to them. The H190X seemed to be the greatest bargain, as well as having a built-in speaker, audio out, and a composite (yellow) video-in connection. I decided to give it a try and have been extremely pleased with the results so far. The image is really good and outputs little more than 720p from my laptop. It’s also really bright, and it still looks excellent with the lights on. I was also pleasantly pleased with the speaker; I wasn’t expecting much, but it’s adequate and gets rather loud – equivalent to a TV built-in speaker.
My only criticism is that horizontal keystone would be preferable (only has vertical). I would certainly suggest this over the cheap Chinese small projectors that are hit or miss, and the H190X is a better value than a BenQ or Epson at the same price range in my view. The review may alter with time, but I am extremely pleased thus far.
The video connected to this review is around 80 inches diagonal, Netflix from a laptop at 1260×800 resolution, with vertical keystone corrected a few notches. To maximize the image, try adjusting the output resolution option on your input device.
