This adds to improved viewing ease, even when used for long periods of time, and allows you to enjoy a wider viewing angle with less color change and blur when playing or watching movies.
Ultra−fast 165Hz refresh rate: In first-person shooter, racing, real-time strategy, and sports games, an impressive 165Hz refresh rate reduces latency and motion blur, giving you the upper hand. This ultrafast refresh rate allows you to play at the fastest visual settings while reacting to what’s onscreen almost immediately.
Includes new Extreme Low Motion Blur tech, which reaches 1ms MPRT to remove smearing and motion blur and sharpens moving objects for more smooth and sensitive gameplay.
DisplayHDR 400 is used in the ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B monitor to offer clearer and sharper contrast between the brightest and darkest areas of the display. It also has a peak luminance of 400 nits, which allows for brighter images.
The integrated GamePlus hotkey, which is unique to ASUS, provides in-game improvements that let you get something out of your game. Pro gamers contributed to the creation of this feature, which allows them to learn and refine their skills.
Shadow Boost tech brightens dark areas of the game whilst overexposing lighter areas, boosting overall viewing and rendering enemies hiding in dark areas of the world easier to find.
ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B comes with a Flicker-Free tech which removes flicker to mitigate eyestrain and increase relaxation during long playing sessions.
The ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light tech limits the amount of potentially damaging blue light that the monitor emits. The amount of blue light reduction can be regulated using four different filter configurations.

My Honest ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B Monitor
In general, I’m pleased with the display. The refresh rate isn’t the highest for gaming, but actually, very few displays this size would be. The contrast ratio is 2500:1, which is excellent, with a 3000:1 top end. For a VA panel, HDR brightness is adequate. After a few months, I may claim that there is no ghosting. Since it is a curved screen, the viewing angles are excellent. If you stay in the centre, you will never have an issue.
The build quality of ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B is excellent, much superior to the six or so other monitors I tested. It is thicker, but not excessively so. It probably has 100×100 vesa mounts, but the stand is one of the selling points for me because it has a wide range of motion and is really powerful. I didn’t have to fiddle with the configurations or calibrate it myself. While it’s always a good idea to calibrate every display you buy, this one didn’t concern me. There are no dead pixels, which is a plus.
Overall, there are some displays that are best for the money. In my view, the panel style may not be a major consideration for you because this does not have the typical VA panel problems. You can get a marginally improved LG display, but it isn’t installed as well. Whatever you do, there may be a trade-off, but this is a really good monitor overall.
