My Honest ViewSonic TD1655 Monitor Review
It was quite simple to set up; simply open the box and connect in the cords. It includes a USB-A to USB-C cable (for powering the monitor), a USB-C to USB-C cable (for charging the wall adapter or connecting to a laptop), and a mini-HDMI to full-HDMI cable. There are several ports (2 USB-C and a mini HDMI). The power supply adapter appears to be robust, and I’m betting it can power a laptop through USB-C, but you’ll need an additional USB-C to USB-C power connection to do so.
The display is quite bright straight out of the box, maybe because the brightness was already cranked all the way up, so I had to turn it down right immediately. I’m not sure how this would appear in direct sunshine, but I’m not going to use it outside, so it doesn’t matter. The monitor is quite clear, and the speakers are comparable to those on my Dell laptop. Overall, I am really impressed with the product fit, workmanship, and performance thus far. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no adaptor supplied to put in my Roku stick.
