My Honest SkyTech Blaze II Review
Allow me to begin by stating that I’m in IT and I built my first machine in the 1990s. Now that I’ve dated myself enough, I can tell without reservation that Skytech surpassed my standards with this device.
This purchase was to upgrade/replace my son’s gaming machine. I was searching for a high-medium-range machine that could run almost every game well and not break the bank. Being a DELL guy (say what you want, value per dollar, convenience and service can’t be matched by them), I decided on one of the latest G5 gaming computers they pushed out not too long ago. i5, 8GB RAM, SSD boot drive/1TB HD dual drive setup, 1660 Ti. It’s all for $750. I have not been able to find a better price for those parts.
Alas, it wasn’t until January that they could ship the device, and I needed the machine before Christmas. Extensive looking for anything similar (which could be delivered quickly) at the same price point finally brought me to SkyTech Blaze II Gaming desktop. I had to forgo the Intel for an AMD cpu, settle for a single 500GB SSD disk, and I had to downgrade the 1660 Ti to a normal 1660. But the price was the same, and in two days, I could get it. I agreed to buy and wished for the greatest I had ever dealt with Skytech. Other reviews in Amazon were positive and helped my decision.
The device arrived exceptionally well packed and secured. Setup was easy, initial login and initialization went without a hitch. (The guidelines included were really helpful. I really didn’t require them, but they were excellent for someone who wasn’t as familiar with computers as I am.)
The supplied keyboard and mouse are a move up from what is normally bundled with computers. Far more than what ships with DELL systems do by design. There was little need to replace them, and the aesthetic of the gamer starts with the LED. It’s good touch.
I was glad to see that no bloatware or unwanted programs were mounted on the SkyTech Blaze II gaming computer pc desktop. As a matter of truth, the only items I wanted to clean up and remove were some of the default programs that ship with Windows 10 that were unnecessary on a gaming machine.
Once the configuration was complete, I shut down the machine and cracked it open to see how the company assembles the machines. The machine case is pretty comfortable and has a decent construction quality. The ports and jacks used are all conveniently positioned. The routing of the cables and the design of the modules in the case is outstanding, maintaining great ventilation and appearing quite clean. Nothing to complain about it.
Indeed, when I had the SkyTech Blaze II opened, I found that the Graphics card was only 1660 Ti instead of 1660 Ti. I have to believe that they did not have any 1660 pre-built systems and gave me a step-up method to make sure that the two-day shipping was carried out. Nobody’s going to argue over a free update, and I’m sure to praise Skytech for caring of the consumer instead of their bottom line. It’s a little matter, but that kind of gesture/company choice goes a fair way towards buying computers from them again in the future.
It’s been almost a week since my son started using the device, and there have been zero problems or results concerns. The SkyTech Blaze II PC is perfect, it remains calm, it’s quiet and it looks amazing. While I figured I was going to take a slight move down from Dell to get the machine in time, I can tell that I’m 100% pleased with this device, and so is my son.
I’m going to do business with Skytech again in the future. Guaranteed.
