My Honest Pixio PX243 Gaming Monitor Review
I’ve owned my AOC G2590FX for roughly 1.5 years. It had been a fantastic monitor, but I began to have significant difficulties detecting things at a distance (specifically Warzone). I decided it was time to upgrade to 1440p for increased pixel density and clarity. I am just blown away. Although the Pixio PX243 isn’t the cheapest 1440p monitor on the market, its current pricing, performance, and features put it apart from the competition in my opinion.
I was seeking for a Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD, however all three orders I placed were unsuccessful. Then I wanted the PX7 Prime, but it wasn’t in stock at the time I needed it. So, to cut a long tale short, I first chose the Pixio PX243 since it was the greatest display available (based on published metrics).
Initial impressions: the hue was too warm, a little undersaturated, and not brilliant enough out of the box. I made a few minor changes and it was instantly where I wanted it. (My settings are shown in the images below.) All colors look to be accurate, blacks and gray regions appear to be quite consistent, and refresh rate/input responsiveness appear to be more than appropriate for FPS. I don’t have any hardware capable of producing official results, but my average gamer eyes (Warzone and MW multiplayer only) are overjoyed. I see no change in response time or performance while playing at 1080p. If anything, the clarity and accuracy of textures, as well as my capacity to see farther/identify items at a distance, have increased my awareness.
If you’re on a tight budget, this is an excellent choice. I can’t claim it’s the greatest since I haven’t tested any other 1440p monitors, but based on internet reviews for other displays in this price range, the Pixio PX243 performance is excellent.
