Question: Does Orbit B-hyve 57915 Smart sprinkle controller works with Alexa?
Answer: Yeah, yes. I’ve got one and Alexa should start watering it or better yet tell me when it’s going to start next, as well as when it’s last watered. I’m pleased with the machine, and I think it’s a decent deal. Mine is installed in a shielded area inside a garage and has substituted a 20-year-old mechanical timer. This is much superior in terms of comfort. And if you use manual applications, it’s much simpler to program on this than on older systems. Smart irrigation, however, is the way to go.

Answer: This comes with a 24 volt AC, power pack. One of those wall-to-wall power supplies. You’re attaching low voltage wires from the wall wart to the controller. I removed the old controller and used the still current transformer, as the 24 VAC is standard for these.

Question: Can you turn the weathersense option off from Orbit B-hyve 57915 Smart Wi-Fi sprinkle controller?
Answer: Sure, but this is not intuitive. You’ve got to take a deep dive into the preference settings. As I remember, one of the four programs is set to weathersense, and you have to switch it off or set it up to act as a regular channel. It’s been a while, so I don’t recall the specifics, but you should probably turn it off.
