Introductions

Before we dive right into the review, it is important to get familiar with the basics of a projector. So what is a projector? A projector is a device that magnifies and projects an image onto a screen or wall. Projectors are a great alternative to large, clunky TVs as they can be placed almost anywhere and don’t require a lot of room to be placed. They are also great for home theaters as they allow you to create a large, cinematic experience without needing to spend tons of money on equipment. Most projectors come with a few different connection options including HDMI, USB, and VGA. This makes it super easy to plug in your laptop, gaming system, or any other device for an instant home cinema experience.

TRUE 4K ULTRA HD: Enjoy a high-quality home cinema experience with 4K Ultra HD, which features 8.3 million individual addressable on-screen pixels.

LAG-FREE GAMING: Presenting the world’s first ultra-fast 240Hz gaming projector, combining with Enhanced Gaming Mode to offer a 16ms response time, or 26ms at 4K UHD, for the least input lag on a Optoma UHD60 4K projector.

COMPATIBLE WITH HDR10 & HLG: Enjoy brighter whites and deeper black levels for a more immersive viewing experience of pictures and movies thanks to HDR10 & HLG technology.

DYNAMIC BLACK: Dynamic Black technology adds depth to the image by smoothing lamp output, resulting in a high contrast ratio (500,000:1); bright scenes seem crisp, while dark situations stay detailed.

FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION: Get the perfect shot with 1.3X zoom, 5-15% vertical lens shift, and 40° keystone correction, whether ceiling mounted or put on a table.

PICTURE IS CRISP AND COLORFUL: Optoma UHD60 projector comes with an UltraDetail technology which guarantees greater image sharpness with a higher frame rate to provide a crystal clear picture. The RGBWRGBW 8 segment color wheel boosts the color ratio for a more vibrant, vivid, and dramatic image.

ULTRA-BRIGHT: Get 3,400 lumens of brightness in your home theater, family room, gaming area, or even outside for backyard movie evenings.

INPUTS: Connect to most media players, game consoles, PCs, Macs, and mobile devices through HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 compatibility, HDMI 4K, USB, VGA, and more.

LONG LAMP LIFE: With a lamp life of up to 15,000 hours, you can watch two 2-hour movies every day for the next ten years.

STANDARD THROW PROJECTION: A 100″ image can be projected from roughly 9-11 feet away; a 120″ image can be projected from approximately 11-13 feet away; and a UHD50X image can be projected from approximately 11-13 feet away.

My Honest Optoma UHD60 Projector Review

Incredible! My third Optoma Home Theatre projector. I previously owned the HD20, HD27, and now the UHD60. Even though I had been brand loyal to Optoma, I was skeptical that this could produce a true UHD image, 2160P with HDR for less than $2,000. Not only was I not dissatisfied, but this projector exceeded all of my expectations. If you’re searching for a 4K home theater projector, look no further. I know it uses pixel shifting to obtain 2160P, but it makes no difference. This projector has 8,000,000 individual pixels and looks just as beautiful as the $7,000 Sony or $6,000 JVC. I won’t delve into the specs because they are stated elsewhere on Amazon; I will simply say that this has the greatest picture I have ever seen outside of a theatre (and superior than many theatres projecting 4K) for any projector cost less than $10,000.

The only flaw I can think of is that it is larger than the Optoma 1080P projector models, but it still installed from the same bracket that held my Optoma HD26 (the QualGear PRB-717, which is available on Amazon for $23.99). And the present pricing is an absolute deal. This may be the finest Amazon buy I’ve ever made, and I’ve made hundreds and hundreds of tiny and huge purchases.
