My Honest Optoma HD28HDR Projector Review
I’ve used this projector for about 6 months now, so I believe my assessment is quite impartial. This projector is fantastic!! More information is provided below.
My Setup
I placed this projector in my light living room. I have 5 7-foot windows perpendicular to my screen, so we receive plenty of natural sunshine here in Texas during the day. Even so, the image is clear and not washed out, at least in my opinion (first two pics).
This projector was combined with a CineGrey screen. If you’re going to be in a bright room, I highly recommend utilizing a light-absorbing screen material. It significantly improves daylight image quality. I believe I paid an additional $120 on the CineGrey.
The next two photos and video were taken with my window shutters closed in order to filter out as much light as possible. The visual quality has improved noticeably. Optoma HD28HDR projector, on the other hand, truly sparkles at night or in the dark. It has theatrical quality and a bright, clear image.
Pros
1. A bright image, even in the middle of the day.
2. The sound is fairly clear, particularly if you sit below or near it. Because I have a sound system, that capability is disabled on mine. However, I did try that on the original installation.
3. It is lightweight and easy to handle.
Cons
1. The number of ceiling mount choices is restricted. I bought a universal mount and had to jiggle it to get it to work.
2. Keyhole adjustment is limited. I spent much too much time trying to make it just right.
