My Honest Review on LG 27UN880-B Ultrafine Monitor
I purchased two of these displays to replace my outdated set of 32″ 1080P monitors. Love the mounting stand, which fits well with my standing desk. The 4K image is pretty good when watching anything with bright colors. The only way the picture fails is that it doesn’t have deep blacks, but that’s normal for IPS screens. There appears to be very little backlight bleed. It has HDR, but I don’t.
I just wanted to say, I think it’s very nice to charge your MacBook Pro when you link to the computer through USB-c/thunderbolt 3.

Question: In order to link the macbook, can we only use the USBC cable that came with LG 27UN880-B monitor or do I need to purchase a USBC digital av multiport adapter?
Answer: You should use the USB-C cable and link it directly to the MacBook Pro (I have only tested the 16″ MacBook Pro). Note, however, that several menu functions, such as calibration, only function when linked with HDMI.
