My Honest DracoLight GC333 Review
After a month of searching for a projector that offers output at an inexpensive price, I choose DracoLight’s GC333 model with 3000 Lumens. The photo is excellent for the cost, accepting 1080p feedback from my Fire TV stick (for iPlayer/Netflix and Amazon Prime Video) while obviously downscaled to 800 x 400, and the colors are vivid yet real. Brightness and colour in the scenes, with a few different combinations to satisfy most people.
The projector itself is compact and well-made, and setup is as simple as plugging in the main power supply, connecting your appropriate input unit, and tuning the projector’s emphasis to your liking. At a projected size of 100″, HD material can be enjoyed without sacrificing clarity. To get the full feeling, I would suggest seeing a decent movie or playing a game of football with the curtains drawn and plugging in a pair of speakers.
The DracoLight GC333 projector comes in a bundle with a remote, control, HDMI cable, AV 3 in 1 cable, a lens cap, and an instruction booklet. The keystone change (vertical only) is very small (perhaps about 15 degrees) and results in a somewhat out of focus tip, so I’d suggest keeping the projector as square to your projection surface as possible.
Of instance, it won’t be bright enough for daytime, sunlight-filled, curtains-open viewing – for that, you’ll have to spend hundreds, if not thousands, of bucks extra – but the light quality is sufficient for daytime/curtains-closed viewing and outstanding at night with complete black out.
The fans on DracoLight GC333 projector aren’t so bright that you hear them after a moment. Overall, I believe this is the best projector currently on the market right now in terms of quality/price.
