You can enjoy ultra-smooth gaming without tearing or stuttering thanks to AMD FreeSyncTM Premium technology.

The TUF Gaming VG247Q1A’s 23.8-inch Full HD (1920 X 1080) display offers superb graphics from all angles, with broad 178-degree viewing angles ensuring minimum distortion and color shift even when looking from extreme positions.

The 165Hz refresh rate: The 165Hz refresh rate minimizes latency and motion blur, giving you an advantage in first-person shooters, racing, real-time strategy, and sports games. Because of the rapid refresh rate, you can play at the maximum visual settings while reacting instantaneously to what’s onscreen.

Some graphics cards/GPUs are capable of supporting 165Hz graphics source output (via DisplayPort). Please keep in mind that this performance is dependent on the GPU or the material presented. Actual performance in the real world is hardware-dependent.

Take advantage of supersmooth gameplay. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A monitor comes with newest ASUS-exclusive Extreme Low Motion Blur technology which reaches 1ms MPRT* to minimize smearing and motion blur and makes items in motion seem crisper, resulting in more fluid and responsive gaming.

*MPRT of 1 ms is based on internal test findings. In real-world scenarios, reaction times may vary.

See What’s Lurking in the Shadows: ASUS Dynamic Shadow Boost software dynamically brightens dark regions of the map, making it easier to identify foes hiding in shady places.

ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology: This technology minimizes the quantity of potentially dangerous blue light generated by the display. Four different filter settings are offered to customize the level of blue light reduction.

Flicker-Free technology: ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A monitor is equipped with Flicker-Free technology which eliminates flicker to decrease eyestrain and increase comfort during lengthy gaming sessions.

GamePlus: The ASUS-exclusive, integrated GamePlus hotkey provides in-game upgrades to help you get the most out of your gaming experience. This feature was co-created with input from professional gamers, and it allows them to practice and enhance their gaming abilities.

ASUS GameVisual Technology features seven pre-set display settings to maximize graphics for various sorts of entertainment. This one-of-a-kind function is readily accessible through a hotkey or the on-screen display settings menu.

DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI (V1.4), and a 3.5 mm audio port are among the numerous connection options for connecting to a variety of multimedia devices.

My Honest ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A Monitor Review

It has a 165 Hz refresh rate. It’s enormous at 27 inches; anything larger would look terrible at 1080p and up close. It works nicely, the base is solid, and the height can be adjusted. When having a TV or monitor delivered to you, always check for dead pixels and other flaws, and use the Amazon Prime A-Z returns guarantee right away, because most companies now have policies that say they will not replace a monitor if it has only one or two dead pixels. However, Amazon offers a warranty, so if possible, purchase via them first.

The only slight drawback to of ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A monitor is that it comes with terrible visual settings right out of the box. I had to mess with the settings much more with this one than with any other one I’d ever owned before, but this is a minor flaw. You won’t have to deal with it again after you’ve mastered it. I began by selecting a default configuration that seemed to be the most similar to how my previous monitor was set up, and then proceeded from there. Expect it to take a day or two to acclimatize to your environment and your eyes. For me, the brightness had to be reduced significantly, and the trace free level had to be down to 40 or below, or else there would be ghosting or blurring difficulties with text while scrolling or surfing online. This is a problem I was unaware of since I never had a display that could run faster than 60hz, so perhaps I can spare someone some trouble.

It has genuine buttons that you have to punch in, not those horrible tactile sensors that you accidentally touch and the display turns off. Color quality isn’t quite as excellent as on an IPS panel, but it’s still quite nice; the faster refresh rate compensates for the barely discernible loss in color, and if you play around with your settings, you won’t notice it. The viewing angle on ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A is significantly wider than on any of my prior IPS monitors (although they were in a whole other price bracket, at either $90 or $120 for 22-inch and 24-inch), and my wife has no trouble seeing things on my screen, even from an extremely oblique angle.

As long as the monitor doesn’t break down, I’m really delighted with my purchase. I take care of my equipment and safeguard it with excellent surge protectors, regular maintenance, and cleaning, among other things. In my basement, I still have PCs and monitors from the early 1990s. The only ways things fail on me is a manufacturer’s hardware flaw, such as a poor solder coming loose on its own, or age-related stress, such as fan bearings wearing out or hard drives, which are like time bombs, keeping your data hostage. I will take great care of ASUS TUF Gaming VG247Q1A monitor and will update this review if there are any difficulties, or provide an update if it is still working well.
