My Honest Vankyo Performance V600 Review
In my house, I’ve never had a projector. I’ve used them at jobs, but they’ve still been subpar (bright, but low resolution). I was still afraid that a good projector might cost thousands of dollars to upgrade today’s HDTVs. Not just that, but I don’t have a dark room, so I was worried about seeing a projector throughout the day.
Both problems are easily handled by this projector. Although there are several caveats. Image consistency. Is fantastic, to be frank. It’s in absolute 1080p resolution, with smooth motion and almost no blur. I’ve seen Blu-ray movies, enjoyed PlayStation, and watched football. Although the clarity does not equate to my 65-inch 4K TV (and it shouldn’t), I much favored the projector screen’s 100-inch size. It altered the way I consume television material. The Vankyo Performance V600 projector has 4000 lumens, which means it’s incredibly clear and bright enough to watch in your main living space, i.e. a room that isn’t a gloomy cellar. I would admit that if you have a lot of natural sunlight, you could get some washout with the projector, but our bright room impaired my 4K TV (at least a little bit), and I barely watch TV during high noon, so it didn’t matter much.
The caveat with regard to picture quality is a decent projector. My image was projected onto a white background. I’ve learned, and I think, but don’t believe, that projecting the image onto a suitable screen would improve the image’s quality. The white wall worked well for me, but there were moments when I wished I had a projector screen (for example, when there was a lot of black on the screen). Still, once again, it’s a trade-off for me; I’m ready to make a concession in exchange for a bigger screen experience.
Aesthetics Vankyo Performance V600 has a built-in mic, so let’s be honest: you need a speaker device. There is also another caveat. Although I still use external speakers, some people do not and still focus on their television speakers. You may, of course, use the projector’s mic, but I don’t suggest it. If you’re reading this, I’m sure you have your own sound machine.
