My Honest Epson VS345 Projector Review

This is a fantastic tiny projector, very portable, and the bulb replacement is simple and inexpensive (we keep a few on hand). We’ve used this everywhere-wonderful for PC display at matching resolution, but only lately discovered that for movies (Netflix/etc), it’s preferable to transmit a 1080p signal to it, ala Roku or similar-than streaming through the PC- The projector seems to handle (i.e. adapt) 1080p to its native resolution really effectively-project it on a decent screen and it’s very good for a WXGA. Perhaps a hidden feature for some, but because we primarily use this for portable presentations, we have to switch back and forth from high to low power modes quite frequently, which is somewhat menu-intensive by default-there’s a feature to program the “User” button on the remote, which for us is a great place to put this function-so now we can switch that as quickly as the color modes, which is really helpful in live venues. We have more hours recorded in ECO than not, which says something about the unit’s brightness, since we use this option exclusively for visual impact while out in the field. Finally, sound choices are rather restricted, although several gadgets, such as an HDMI sound splitter, may help to alleviate this. We did buy a second one as a backup, but we haven’t used it yet. That’s a nice thing. Overall, this projector ranks high on my list of excellent buys.
