My Honest Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-5812 Gaming Laptop Review
This laptop has captured my heart. I was seeking for a review on running Sims 4 with a lot of packs, but now that I have it, I’ll say it. This machine runs the Sims 4 on Ultra graphics, with all of the packages and dozens of CC and modifications, extremely well. It does not skip a single beat. Loads in less than 30 seconds, even with just 8 GB of RAM. The screen quality is also excellent, almost as if it had an overlay. It boots up swiftly and loads web sites promptly. Even on this laptop, I can see myself greatly enjoying viewing movies. I’m not sure how it compares to other gaming or high-end laptops, but if you’re like me and you’re accustomed to it taking about an hour to launch the Sims on moderate graphics, you’ll be blown away. The laptop is very light and thin. The keyboard has a wonderful feel to it, and I enjoy the backlight, however I wish it could be changed. I played with it for 6 hours straight, and the fans are quite quiet, and it doesn’t get that hot. It does slow down a bit without being connected, but I don’t intend to use it on the go, so I can’t comment on that. This was well worth the money, and I’m glad to Acer for providing so much power at such a low cost. I don’t see how things can get much better for little ol’ me than this.
